ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) recently decided to resume the regular classes of educational institutions from October 11, as the coronavirus positivity rate declined across the country.
Asad Umar, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, said in a tweet that NCOC decided to properly reopen the educational institutions following the decline in COVID-19 positivity rate to 2.8 per cent and the launch of vaccination programmes in schools.
NCOC allowed all educational institutes to commence regular classes from Monday, October 11, said Asad Umar, the NCOC head.
Earlier, educational institutions were working on a 50 per cent capacity across the country after they had resumed following occasional closures due to the fourth wave of COVID-19.
