KARACHI: The management of Karwan-e-Hayat, a mental health institute in Kemari, has offered training to the medical and paramedical professionals working in the government-run health facilities.
The offer was extended during a recent visit of Sindh Caretaker Health Minister Dr Saad Khalid Niaz to the Karwan-e-Hayat Hospital.
During the visit, the minister witnessed the facility’s operations, including the patient visits at the OPD, rehabilitation services and in-patient department.
He appreciated the dedicated work being done by the Karwan team and expressed satisfaction with its efforts to promote mental health.
The visit gave Dr Niaz more insight into the work that needed to be done for the underprivileged members of our community, especially those suffering from psychiatric ailments.
Dr Niaz also explored avenues for supporting the facility in making mental health treatment accessible for the masses.
The Karwan-e-Hayat team also expressed its keen interest in extending its support to the government in creating awareness about mental health.
Karwan-e-Hayat’s senior leadership team, including CEO Mr Zaheer Uddin Ahmad, Chief Medical Officer Dr Uroosa Talib and General Manager Resource Development, Communications and Grants Mr Faisal Zahid welcomed the minister.
