The workshop was attended by the Head of Departments, assistant professors and lecturers of all basic and clinical BDS departments.
Participants were provided pre-readings from the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) guidelines. However, to assess the difficulties participants encounter during construction making, an activity was provided to them as a pre-workshop task. The facilitators instructed the pre-workshop activity to the participants to construct one MCQ as per their expertise.
The workshop's main learning objectives were to enlighten faculty with the structure of BCQ and facilitate them to differentiate between correct and flawed single best-type MCQs and develop one best question according to the Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) template.
Participants appreciated the DHPE-Dental Section for conducting such a workshop as it clarified the issues they faced while developing BCQs for their respective departments.
