KARACHI- A bright and healthy smile not only lifts self-confidence and leaves a good impression, but also increases one’s interest in maintaining good oral hygiene. Pak Dental Community organized a workshop on Teeth Whitening in collaboration with Bahria University Medical and Dental College on Friday, 14th November 2014 at the new campus of Bahria University Medical and Dental College. The workshop received an over whelming response and was attended by more than 50 participants from different dental colleges of Karachi.
The aim of this workshop was to increase the knowledge and confidence to carry out teeth whitening procedures in clinical practice.
The workshop featured lectures from the instructors, Dr. Abu Bakar Sheikh and Dr. Faizan Syed (Faculty Bahria University Medical & Dental College), which included introduction to teeth whitening, scientific aspects of teeth whitening, different techniques and materials. Sensitivity related to teeth whitening procedure was discussed in detail together with pre and post treatment advice for patients for long lasting results.
The lecture was followed by a live demonstration by Dr. Abu Bakar Sheikh, who carried out the teeth whitening procedure on a patient.
Certificates of participation were awarded to all participants towards the end of the workshop along with Shields to the Instructors.
