KARACHI- Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre’s (JPMC) Paramedical Staff Association’s (PSA) president Muhammad Ismail Jiskani has urged Sindh secretary health to immediately approve summary of employees’ promotion so as to bring an end to uncertainty prevailing among them.

He deplored that although a meeting of JPMC’s departmental promotion committee (DPC) was held on May 12, the hospitals’ grade 2 to 16 employees have not yet been issued promotion letters, thereby causing unnecessary unrest among them.

He said that inordinate delay in issuing promotion letters would amount to adding salt to their injuries as they had already been deprived of promotions in the last five years.

He appealed to the authorities concerned to issue promotion letters to the employees and announce new date for the next DPC meeting for deciding promotion cases of remaining cadres without any further delay.

He also demanded of Sindh chief minister and chief secretary to approve summary relating to the employees’ health professional allowance as soon as possible.
