LAHORE - A hands-on Workshop on Rotary Endodontics was organized as a collaborative venture of Pakistan Association of Orthodontists, Sharif Medical and Dental College and University of Lahore. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Yolanda V. de `Justus (Professor and Chair Department of Endodontics, Technologic University of Mexico). It was facilitated by Dr. Salman Ashraf (Head of Operative Dentistry UOL), Dr. Muhammad Moazam, Dr. Mubashir Rasheed and Dr. Irsam Haider from Department of Operative Dentistry, Sharif Medical and Dental College.
During her talk, Prof. Justus accentuated the importance of diagnosis and treatment planning in conservative dentistry. Her lectures were pivoted on the successful outcome of rotary endodontics encompassing topics on Diagnosis, Disinfection, Preparation and Obturation of Root Canal System along with Restoration of endodontically treated tooth. Lastly she introduced the Hyflex CM system and every participant had a hands-on learning of the system. It was accompanied by an interactive Q&A session in which all the participants took part keenly.
Prof. Dr. Col. Iffat Batool, President Pakistan Association of Orthodontists, gave the closing address while Prof. Dr. Moghees Baig, Principal University College of Dentistry distributed certificates among participants. The workshop was attended by private practitioners, clinicians, faculty members, and postgraduate students from various dental institutes.
