LAHORE: The Institute of Advanced Dental Sciences and Research (IADSR) held the final assessment of participants registered in the 8th Professional Diploma in Advanced General Dentistry (PDAGD).
The evaluation was carried out by Dr Sumair Farooq, Vice-Principal of Dentistry at the Azra Naheed Medical and Dental College. Every participant presented their individual case to him on the procedures they had performed by utilizing the knowledge and skills taught to them during the course.
Different cases covering procedures such as extractions, root canals, removal of the periodontal flap, and others were presented. Dr Sumair assessed the participants and highlighted the possible improvements that could be made to improve the results.
As case presentation was an important element to get the diploma, by the end of evaluation, a diploma awarding ceremony was organized. Successful participants were awarded the diploma. Every participant gave positive feedback about the course, highlighted the techniques which they learned during the course duration, and appreciated the efforts of the administration.
Participants emphasized that such initiatives should be encouraged as they offer skills that are necessary for efficient practice.
