ISLAMABAD: ‘A System Error’ caused The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) to send out emails to candidates that gave the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2021 with modified result certificates ahead of schedule.
The scrutinized MDCAT 2021 results were supposed to be announced around 1 pm today, 9 Oct on PMC’s website. But early morning, many students reported receiving correspondence from PMC’s no reply email with their MDCAT 2021 result certificate attached, PMC stated on their Twitter account.
They explained the results were accurate, but the commission regrets its “inadvertent error as it has resulted in concern amongst the students”.
“Unfortunately, due to an error, the system generated all the result certificates at once and automatically emailed them to students early this morning.” they further clarified.
Even though the results are correct, many students claim there are errors in subject marks on their certificates. This only happened because the results were sent out automatically, PMC said, asking that students ignore these errors.
“They can reconfirm their final result once it is uploaded on the website,” PMC concluded.
