SWITZERLAND: The International oral healthcare company, Sunstar, has recently surveyed consumer oral health awareness with brands including GUM, Butler and Ora2.
Around 15 countries were surveyed across Asia, Europe, North and South America. The survey titled "2021 Global Healthy Thinking Report" has revealed astonishing oral health, habits, concerns and desires results.
Among them, UK ranks best for brushing teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, followed by the US. Similarly, tooth sensitivity has been the top oral health problem worldwide in which the people of Thailand has been suffering the most. China has been ranked highest for using sweets as their worst habit.
In a survey, people in the Netherlands seemed happiest with their teeth and have not desired any cosmetic treatment to improve their smile, compared to Thailand, Spain, Italy and Brazil, who have the least smile satisfaction.
As far as mouth breathing is concerned, the survey revealed that Asian countries reported bad breath most with the worst in Japan. On the other hand, Brazil reported the least bad breathers.
