Hands on Dental Laser Workshop at Isra Dental College

Hyderabad- A comprehensive session with a lecture, live demonstration and hands-on workshop on the application of dental laser was recently held at Isra Dental College. Dr Ashar Jamelle, Assistant Professor Periodontology Department of Fatima Jinnah Dental College, a renowned international speaker was the guest speaker, and Dr Zahid Iqbal, HOD and Associate Professor was the programme facilitator.

Faculty of IDC, postgraduate students, house officers and dentists from Hyderabad attended the seminar.

Principal IDC Prof. Dr Mumtaz spoke on the importance of continuing dental education in his welcome speech. Dr Ashar Jamelle delivered the lecture on application of dental laser in different fields of dentistry. He also talked about the dental laser machine, Lasotronix, and its functions. He shared case stories from his personal experience with the audience and gave useful tips. He gave live demonstration on application of dental laser for excision of soft tissue growth. Dr Jamelle then facilitated the hands-on workshop on application of laser and different flap designs on rat heads.

Shield was given to Dr Ashar Jamelle by the Chief Guest, Dr. Mumtaz, along with Dr Zahid and Dr Amtul Kazi. Certificates of participation were distributed among all participants.
