LAHORE: The Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Lahore continues to set new benchmarks in professional development with its latest mentorship session, featuring the esteemed Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed, who is the pioneer of Maxillofacial Surgery in Pakistan, and a teacher of teachers.  The session, designed to provide invaluable guidance to young dental professionals, was further enriched by the presence of leading figures from the dental fraternity, including Prof. Dr. Riaz Warriach, Ex-Principal Nishtar Dental College Multan and pioneer of Maxillofacial Surgery Unit King Edward Medical College University, Prof. Dr. Waseem Ibrahim, Foundation University Rawalpindi, Prof. Dr. Aqib Sohail, Principal Dental College LMDC, Prof. Dr. Arfan Shah, Principal HITEC Dental College Wah Cantt, former MS Punjab Dental Hospital Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, and Head of Dept. Nishtar Institute of Dentistry Multan Associate Professor Dr Asif Nazeer. Senior representatives from PDA Centre, including General Secretary Prof. Muhammad Umar Farooq Marwat, Head of Dept PIMS, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, President PDA Islamabad, Associate Professor frontier Dental College Abbotabad Dr. Zeeshan Baig, and President PDA Hyderabad Dr. Shahzad, also graced the event. This session builds upon the success of the previous mentorship program, which was a transformative experience for young dentists.

The first mentorship session, covered in detail by Dental News, was a groundbreaking initiative titled “Path to a Successful Dental Practice – Guidance for Young Dental Graduates.” Hosted at Gulberg Dental Surgery, Lahore, and led by Dr. Dildar H. Chaudhry, the program brought together leading experts such as Muhammad Qasim Saeed, Principal Rashid Latif Dental College, Dr. Imran Nazeer, Head of Dental Department Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Associate Prof. Dr. Asifa Iqbal, Oral Pathalogist Rashid Latif Dental College; Dr. Shahzad, Assistant Professor at de’Montmorency College of Dentistry; and Dr. Asna Mustafa, representing young graduates. The overwhelmingly positive response from attendees reinforced the demand for such mentorship opportunities, prompting PDA Lahore to expand and enhance these initiatives.
