RAWALPINDI: Margalla College of Dentistry (MCD), Margalla Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) recently visited the Saadi’s Ecole High School to educate the children regarding oral health.
MIHS has been arranging school screening programs and free dental camps since its inception under the guidance of Dr Samie Qadir, Vice Chairman, MIHS.
The dental team who visited the school included Dr Sadia Sajjad, Head of Community & Preventive Dentistry Department, MCD, Dr Wasif Awan, Incharge OPD, MCD, Dr Faiza Siddiqa, house officers and second year BDS undergraduate students.
The purpose of the visit was to screen the children and provide oral health education sessions on tooth brushing techniques, healthy diet and prevention of common dental problems to the school children. A total of 184 children was screened with their parents' consent.
