Karachi: Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences (SSCMS), Dental Section recently conducted an oral awareness program for general medical practitioners. The event organised by the Department of Community Dentistry, SSCMS highlighted the oral health complications in children.
Dr Ali Raza and Dr Sandhiya Iqbal briefed the audience on the importance of promoting oral health in the community. Prof. Dr HR Sukhia, Principal, Dental Section, SSCMS also spoke on the consumption of chalia supari. He told that consumption at a very young age can lead to early submucous fibrosis in the population. He also appreciated the efforts of the Department of Community Dentistry for conducting a successful event.
