PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has upheld the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government’s decision to re-conduct the medical college admission test MDCAT within six weeks.
The KP government had decided to hold afresh the test for admissions to medical and dental colleges in the province following reports of use of unfair means and leak of paper in this important exam.
The PHC, in its written verdict, said the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report exposed cheating during the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in KP.
The verdict said the court would not interfere in the matter after the KP cabinet’s decision on it.
The PHC ordered re-conduct of MDCAT in a transparent manner within six weeks as per the cabinet’s directives.
