KARACHI: The Department of Operative Dentistry at Bahria University Dental College (BUDC) recently hosted its first international guest lecture on digital implant dentistry, featuring Dr. Stefano Pieralli, DDS, Dr. med. dent., Priv. Doz., from Charité-Universitätsmedizin, Berlin. The session was moderated by Dr. Meisha Gul, Assistant Professor of Operative Dentistry and Pakistan’s first ITI scholar.
Dr. Pieralli, a prominent expert in prosthodontics and oral implantology, presented cutting-edge topics such as digital workflows, computer-guided implant surgery, and advanced prosthetic materials for implant-prosthodontic rehabilitation.
Drawing on his extensive global experience, including appointments at the University of São Paulo and the University of Freiburg, Dr. Pieralli provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field, highlighting the importance of innovation and precision.
During his 30-minute lecture, Dr. Pieralli offered a detailed examination of how digital technologies are being integrated into implantology. This was followed by a lively Q&A session, where participants engaged in discussions about practical applications and future trends in prosthodontics.
Dr. Pieralli’s expertise, coupled with Dr. Gul’s moderation, greatly enriched the experience for all participants.
