Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine organized a course on “Crown Lengthening Surgery”. The course was conducted by Dr Tariq Javed, Professor of Periodontology and Dean, University of South Carolina, USA. Faculty members, students, house officers and postgraduate trainees of AIDM attended the course.
Dr Tariq Javed delivered a detailed and comprehensive lecture on crown lengthening surgery. He also showed multiple cases in which he had successfully performed crown lengthening for his patients. He emphasized over the maintenance of the ‘biological width’, and how it should not be violated. Later, he also performed different procedures like crown lengthening surgery, scaling & deep curettage, and frenectomy on different patients, which were shown live to the students and faculty of AIDM.
