KARACHI- The Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital (LGH) management has reached out to Sindh Health Department, in order to attain support for the upgradation of various departments and the operation theatre of the hospital.
Concerned authorities have been requested to provide the hospital with x-ray machines, color doppler scan, ultrasound machine and dental x-ray machine and films, to make the Radiology Department serviceable.
The Department of Pathology is in dire need of a new automatic hematology and biochemistry analyzer, an electronic microscope, cell separator, Elisa machine, colorimeters, and autoclave, alongside other allied equipment.
Cardiology Department urgently requires an echocardiography machine, central monitor and elevator, cardiac monitor, suction machine, an ambu-bag and puncture needle for its Cath Lab.
Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics needs a Laparoscope with all its accessories, CTG machine, vaginal delivery sets, infant weighing machine, delivery tables and portable warmers, suction machine, ECG machine, ureteric catheter and other necessary instruments.
Moreover, the Department of Paeds/NICU requires incubators, blood gases, ETT Tubes, pulse oximeters, flow meters, steamer, ECG machine, drip stands and X-ray illuminators.
Dental Department has requested for a new autoclave to ensure sterilization, dental units with air compressors, examination and surgical instruments, dental x-ray machines, alongside other necessary equipment, in order to facilitate patients in a better manner.
Other departments of LGH, like Urology, ENT, Eye, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Dermatology, Medical ICUs, Sterilization and laundry unit, all are in dire need of improvement, to further enhance patient care.
