ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Medical and Dental College in association with LAPS International School, Barakahu celebrated the new year by organising an oral health education and promotion program. A team of Dentists from the Community Dentistry Department under the guidance of Dr Saba Maqsoud and Dr Shandana Sher conducted this Campaign recently.
The campaign included dental awareness talk, educating children about common dental ailments, especially emphasising on tooth decay and measures to prevent these dental issues. Students were further told about brushing techniques, their eating patterns and the food choices which cause tooth decay.
The session also included free dental screening for the students and referral to a dental facility for the diagnosed oral health ailment.
Islamabad Medical and Dental College is dedicated to serving the community and is committed to insure their oral wellbeing through organised community efforts though out the year.
