Tragic accident claims lives of beloved Dr. Waleed and Family

LAHORE: In a heart-wrenching incident near Kallar Kahar Salt Range, a collision between two vehicles has led to the tragic demise of Dr. Waleed Toosy, a respected Prosthodontist senior dental surgeon, along with his wife and two children. The entire medical and dental fraternity is reeling from the shock of this devastating loss.

Dr. Toosy, merely 45 years old, was a promising figure in his field, known for his dedication and expertise. The tragic accident occurred due to a collision that caused both vehicles to plummet into a ditch, claiming the lives of the victims on the spot. Initial investigations point towards brake failure as the cause of the collision.

A solemn Namaz e Janaza was held at the Jamia Masjid, Punjab Cooperative Housing Society Ghazi Road Lahore, where people from all walks of life, particularly a large contingent from the dental community, gathered to pay their respects and offer condolences.

According to reports from the highway patrol, the Motorway Police and rescue teams was crucial, with authorities swiftly transporting the deceased to Kallar Kahar Trauma Centre. Among the victims were four members of the Toosy family, along with the drivers of the vehicles.

Expressing profound sorrow and grief, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. She directed the administration to ensure to take action against any negligence involved.

The dental community, deeply affected by the loss, took to social media to express condolences and share memories of Dr. Toosy and his family. The management and staff of Dental News and the Journal of Pakistan Dental Association join in expressing heartfelt condolences and prayers for the departed souls.
