ISLAMABAD- Academy of Continuing Health Education and Research (ACHER) organized its 2nd Hands-on workshop in Islamabad, titled; ‘All about teeth whitening’. The workshop was attended by 08 dental surgeons, postgraduate residents and house officers from the twin cities. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Adil Shahnawaz, while it featured didactic lectures and typodont-based exercises. The workshop was followed by an orientation session on Implantology Certification course for the private Practioners The workshop had following highlights; Lectures: Didactic lectures extensively covered the rationale, case selection, treatment alternatives, trouble shooting and the procedure itself. The participants were encouraged to question and share their clinical experiences with clarifications on ambiguities. Hands on: Models were used to teach participants to master isolation and apply gingival barrier. Later, a live patient demonstration was also given in a clinical setting. At the end of the workshop, certificates were awarded to the respected doctors along with photography of the event. ACHER strives to provide latest and evidence-based continuing dental education to the progressive, dynamic and vibrant private practioners across the country.
