LAHORE: In the 2023-24 elections of the Pak Association for Dental Research (IADR) Pakistan Section), Prof. Farhan Raza Khan won the president’s slot, while Prof Sarosh Ehsan became vice president of the association.
As per the results, other office bearers include Secretary/Treasurer Dr Hafiz Muhammad Owais Nasim, Councilor Dr Usman Ashraf, Regional Representative Dr Laraib Qamar, International Representative Prof Syed Ali Khurram (Sheffield, UK)
The IADR Founding Members include Prof. Abdul Samad Khan, Prof. Muhammad Imran Rahbar and Prof Muhammad Nasir Saleem.
The new President, Prof. Farhan Raza Khan, is currently working at Aga Khan University, Karachi and a part of PADR since 2010. He has been working on various administrative posts in the association, promoting dental research in Pakistan.
New Vice-President, Prof Saroosh Ehsan, is currently working in the FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore.
Both Secretary/Treasurer Dr Hafiz Muhammad Owais Nasim (BDS, MPhil, PhD (Scholar), CMT) and Dr. Usman Ashraf (BDS, MSc., PhD), are working as assistant professor at the Institute of Dentistry, CMH, Lahore Medical College, Lahore.
Regional Representative Dr. Laraib Qamar (BDS, BSc., MHPE) is working as assistant professor at Avicenna Medical College, while Dr Abdul Samad Khan (BDS, MSc., PhD, FHEA) is a founding member of PADR and also a member of IADR since 2006. Currently, he is working as a Professor of Dental Biomaterials at the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, College of Dentistry, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
