AKUH’s CMS gets Sindh Healthcare Commission license 

KARACHI: Sindh Healthcare Commission has granted license to the Aga Khan University Hospital’s Clifton Medical Services (CMS) in recognition of AKUH's adherence to the Sindh Service Delivery Standards (SSDS) and its alignment with global best practices.

CMS, AKUH’s flagship outpatient medical center in Clifton, Karachi, holds accreditation from both the Joint Commission International (JCI) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). 

The licence was officially awarded at a ceremony attended by senior executives from AKUH and the Sindh Healthcare Commission.

Addressing the event, Dr. Farhat Abbas, CEO of the AKU Health System, highlighted the importance of this certification, stating, "This milestone is a testament to our unwavering dedication to quality in healthcare delivery. We take pride in our team's relentless pursuit of excellence and compassionate care."

Sindh Healthcare Commission CEO Dr. Ahsan Qavi Siddiqi stressed the role of system-based policies and procedures in ensuring high standards of quality and patient safety.

This license not only reinforces AKUH’s commitment to excellence but also signifies a major step in improving healthcare access across communities and regions.
