KARACHI: A total of 40,535 candidates will take the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) to be held at five locations in four main cities of Sindh on September 10.
This was announced by Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Amjad Siraj Memon and Registrar Dr Azam Khan at a press conference held at the university’s boardroom.
Informing the media about the preparations for the exam, Prof Memon Said 15,191 of the candidates are from Karachi, where the test will be conducted at the Karachi University’s Maskan Ground and the Dow University’s Ojha Campus. The other exam centers are located in Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazir Abad (Nawabshah), and Larkana, he added.
The JSMU VC said the written exam, starting at 10am, will consist of 200 questions and last 3.5 hours till 1:30pm. Candidates will be allowed to enter the exam centers from 7am to 9am.
He asked the candidates to bring along two identification documents, along with their admit cards, while watches, mobile phones, calculators, books, notes, bags, electronic devices, and pens will not be allowed inside the exam centres.
He warned that in case of violation, the candidate will be immediately expelled from the exam centre and the paper will be cancelled.
