KARACHI: The Sindh Government Services Hospital has fully operationalized its dental clinic and installed a mammography machine for the timely diagnosis of breast cancer in women, according to hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Ashiq Sheikh.

Speaking to journalists, Dr. Sheikh highlighted the installation of a modern dental OPG X-ray machine, which has enhanced advanced facilities in the hospital.

He said all dental services, including the OPG X-ray, are provided free of cost at the hospital, contrasting with private clinics where the same X-ray costs around Rs8,000.

Additionally, Dr. Sheikh announced the installation of a mammography machine aimed at early breast cancer detection.

He also mentioned the ongoing recruitment of doctors and nurses under the Sindh Public Service Commission, stating that new staff would soon be appointed to further strengthen the hospital's services.

Dr. Sheikh said the services of Covid-19 doctors and nurses have been transferred back to the health department.
