KARACHI: Fatima Jinnah Dental College (FJDC) organised a panel discussion and lectures by two experts in connection with World No Tobacco Day at the DHA Suffa University.
Since 1987, the World Health Organization (WHO) member states have been marking World No Tobacco Day to draw global attention to the widespread prevalence of tobacco use and its negative health effects, causing more than 8 million deaths annually worldwide.

Dr Sana talked about advancements in dental treatments and how fast-track dental clinics are equipped with all the efficient diagnostic and treatment tools.
This was followed by a panel discussion, in which Dr Madiha spoke about health risks of smoking.
Being a periodontist, she emphasised the effects of tobacco on our gums and bone health.
Later, the students enthusiastically participated in a question and answer session.
