KARACHI: Dr Asif Niaz Arain, former Vice President of the Asia Pacific Dental Federation, passed away following a brief illness. He was 68.
As per a statement shared on Dr Asif Niaz’s Associates Dental Professionals Facebook page, he was admitted to the Aga Khan University Hospital, where he passed away on Saturday evening, March 9th.
Dr Arain was loved and respected in the dental community for his vibrant personality and dedication to his profession.
As a senior member of the Pakistan Dental Association (PDA), he played a pivotal role in numerous national and international conferences, contributing significantly to the advancement of dental science and education in Pakistan.
The dental community is paying rich tributes to late Dr Arain, honoring his legacy and the indelible mark he left on the field of dentistry.
His first funeral prayers were offered at Masjid e Ali at 11am, followed by another at his native village of Roshan Abad, Sakrand, at 5pm on Sunday, March 10th.
Dr Arain will be remembered for his exceptional skill, expertise in dentistry and compassionate care for his patients.
His demise has left a void in the dental community that will be difficult to fill.
The management and staff of Dental News and the Journal of Pakistan Dental Association express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace.
