KARACHI: The Department of Operative Dentistry, Bahria University of Health Sciences, prides itself in always maintaining and excelling in, via different methods, the process of continuous learning and education for its students.
With the academic year coming to an end shortly along with the completion of Group A’s clinical rotation here at the Department of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics, Bahria University Dental College, the end rotation competition was chosen to be an Online Quiz Competition.
Quiz competitions are helpful in the revision of the curriculum for the students midway through their academic year and also tests their academic status in a way that is different from the conventional examination methods.
This time around, the quiz competition was decided to be held on an online educational application, which was a new modality altogether for both the students taking the quiz, and the faculty conducting it.
Innovative methods like such, help in garnering the interest of the students in the procedure as well as introduce new feedback mechanisms to them. The application chosen for this purpose was “EdApp”, and the quiz was designed by Dr Ayesha Zafar. Out of 11 Participants, Final Year Student Khuzaima Yasmeen stood first in the competition and was awarded the certificate by our chief Guest Dr Mesiha Gul.
