Pakistan witnesses the lowest COVID-19 infections for first time since June 2021

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's COVID-19 statistics today showed the lowest number of reported infections in a day since June 2021.

Following the NCOC data, Pakistan reported 689 cases of coronavirus infection on Tuesday. The country last reported lower than 689 daily infections in June this year. 

The COVID-19 cases have been actively declining across the country. The entire active cases in the country now stand at 41,754 and the positivity ratio at 1.62%.

The total number of patients on critical care have been 2280, as per NCOC data. Moreover, NCOC recently stated that no patients were currently on ventilators in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Eighteen people died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours across Pakistan. It pushed the total deaths in the country due to coronavirus to 28,152.
