ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Health, Dr Nadeem, extends congratulations to the nation on the successful conclusion of the Global Health Security Summit, which witnessed the participation of over 70 countries, leading health experts, and diplomats, saying it significantly boosted Pakistan's global image.

In a media address, the minister said Pakistan has taken a proactive step by initiating a platform aimed at strengthening the healthcare system, which would provide a regular space for the countries to assess progress, exchange ideas, and address emerging health challenges on a global scale.

Dr Jan said the health summit forum is expected to enhance global confidence in Pakistan's health system. He emphasized the presence of a skilled pharmaceutical workforce in the country that can be exported and utilised by other countries during pandemics or similar crises.

Underscoring the collaborative efforts of policymakers, experts, and stakeholders from around the world, the minister hoped such alliances would contribute to the improvement of health systems in economically challenged countries.

He stressed the need for sustained collaboration and the implementation of evidence-based strategies to safeguard global health.

The minister noted that the summit provided a valuable opportunity to bring together international and national experts to share expertise and knowledge for a safer world.

Dr Jan expressed his belief that hosting the international conference reflected Pakistan's potential to play a key role in the health sector, enhancing the country's global standing.

The summit, he said, symbolised the commitment to a safer world where health security transcends borders.
