FBR Chairman assures support to PPMA delegation on sales tax regime issues

ISLAMABAD: A delegation representing the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) held a productive meeting with Asim Ahmad, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), yesterday. The purpose of the meeting was to address concerns related to the sales tax regime governing the pharmaceutical sector.

Led by Syed Farooq Bukhari, Chairman of PPMA, the delegation consisted of prominent members and former Chairman of the Association, as stated in a press release. Afaq Ahmad Qureshi, Member IR-Policy FBR, was also in attendance during the meeting.

The discussion focused on various operational challenges faced by the pharmaceutical industry, and the delegation extended a cordial invitation to Chairman FBR to attend the upcoming Pharma Export Seminar scheduled for July 12. The seminar aims to explore opportunities for enhancing pharmaceutical exports.
