MIRPUR KHAS: Department of General Medicine and Department of Health Professional Education, Bhitai Dental and Medical College (BDMCH), Mirpurkhas celebrated World Heart Day.
Dr Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Chief Executive and Medical Superintendent, BDMCH Hospital, graced the occasion with his presence and highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Dr Permanand, Dr Narinder, Dr Lekhraj, Dr Saleem Akhtar and Dr Ali Maqbool were present on occasion and emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy living.
Faculty members conducted special counselling sessions with patients. They also did an awareness walk on occasion.
Editorial note: Heart disease and stroke have been the leading cause of death globally, which take around 18 million lives each year. However, World Heart Day has been the perfect platform for the Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) community to join in the fight against CVD and diminish the disease burden globally.
