PADS all set to hold Annual Congress 2024

KARACHI: The Pakistan Association of Dental Students (PADS) is set to host its much-anticipated Annual Congress 2024, a dynamic two-day event packed with opportunities for learning, professional growth, and networking.

Focusing on dental professionals and students, the congress offers a range of educational sessions, interactive workshops, and exciting competitions, where the participants will also have the chance to earn 10 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours accredited by Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Dental News collaborated as the media partner.

On the day one, the congress will begin with a series of scientific sessions led by leading figures in the field. Dr. Zafar Abbas, CEO of the Royal Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and Dr. Robia Ghafoor, an expert in restorative dentistry, will deliver insightful presentations designed to inspire and inform.

The participants can also visit the Exchange Fair, where they will receive valuable advice on enhancing their Statement of Purpose (SOP) writing and building their personal brands within the dental community.

Alongside these educational opportunities, participants can engage in hands-on workshops covering a variety of topics.

The second day will commence with the highly anticipated Dental Startup Competition, offering the participants a platform to present their innovative ideas. With cash prizes and potential funding on the line, this competition—sponsored by Media Partner Dental News—provides a unique opportunity for aspiring dental entrepreneurs.

Participants will also be offered specialised workshops, including a dental photography session with Dr. Mansur Ahmed, and a session on Clear Aligner Technology by ClearPath, leaders in the field.

The day will also feature a career counseling session led by industry experts such as Dr. Kashif Ikram, Dr. Taki, Dr. Aneeka Tahir, and Dr. Ayesha Hanif, offering invaluable advice on navigating the future of dentistry.

A special session by Dr. Syed M. Faizan will explore the role of social media in enhancing professional development, suggesting practical strategies to boost online presence.

The congress will also feature a panel discussion with six distinguished leaders in the dental industry, including Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi, Prof. Dr Yawar Ali Adbi, Prof. Dr Ambreen Afzal, Dr Ninette Banday, Dr. Shoaib Durrani, and Prof. Dr. Wahab Kadri, who will discuss sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship in dentistry.
