Gujranwala: Dr Hassan Bashir and his team passed on the mantle to Dr Shahid Aman, who was elected as the new President of PDA Gujranwala. One of the most successful and professionally run branches of PDA conducted its elections and elected Dr Shahid Aman as its new president.
The outstanding tenure of Dr Hassan Bashir, as President of Pakistan Dental Association Gujranwala, completed its term, which was extended at PDA Gujranwala members' request to complete work on the PDA Welfare Complex (PDAWC).
PDA Gujranwala is a role model for all PDA’s because of their dental community-centric approach and community welfare as the main objective of their work. Hassan Bashir and his cabinet took over PDA Gujranwala's reins four years ago with good intentions, a lot of prayers and backing of their senior members and commitment to do something worthwhile.
Dr Hassan has now passed on the mantle and takes pride that he and his cabinet were able to do justice with the trust bestowed by Gujranwala's dentists, including late Dr Javed Ashraf and Dr Sajjad Mustafa. His team completed the first-ever PDA House anywhere in Pakistan, an achievement that is indeed unprecedented.
The PDAWC completed and opened for the general public and our young colleagues to come, learn and practice. In term of 4 years, they conducted 49 Clinical Talks/ Seminars and Hands-on workshops, 8 Online video lectures when the pandemic started for dentists better understanding and how to brace themselves. Free PPEs were provided for clinical staff of all dental clinics in Gujranwala, 46 Cabinet Meetings, 11 Executive Body Meetings, 09 General body Meetings,08 Meetings were held with district administration to discuss and facilitate colleagues,11 Free Dental Camps for the general public/ schools.
He thanked Dr Javed Ashraf (late), Dr Sajjad Mustafa, Dr Shahid Aman, Dr Rizwan Asghar, Dr Aisha Imran, Dr Naseem Mansha, Dr Azhar Gondal and Faisal Malik for their unconditional support.
PDA Gujranwala, led by Dr Hassan and his dedicated team, has done which no other PDA has achieved so far, even though plots in Karachi and Lahore were acquired more than two decades ago.
