Karachi: A Continuous Dental Education session was organised recently, at Hamdard University Dental Hospital, Karachi to highlight awareness about the increasing periodontal disease globally.
The event was supervised and organised by Department of Community Dentistry faculty, Assistant Prof Dr Shikoh Naz and Assistant Prof Dr Saima Asim in collaboration with GSK Pakistan.
The event started with sensitivity test by providing ice creams to the participants from GSK pharmaceuticals and hosted by Dr Muddasir, Followed by a welcome note from Prof Dr Abrar, A comprehensive presentation given by Dr Obaidullah Khan (Senior Registrar Oral Medicine) on “Impact of Global burden of Periodontal disease on health, nutrition, and wellbeing of mankind” followed by a detailed presentation by Mr Fahim (Regional Manager, GSK Karachi) on Prevalence of periodontal disease and role of GSK in improving oral health and wellbeing in the community through their whole range of dental products.
Event was concluded by a networking lunch and giveaway by GSK Pakistan
