PDA concludes negotiations with SRB, urges dental practitioners to get registered through portal

KARACHI: A Negotiation committee of the Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) comprising Dr Kamran Vasfy, Dr Asif Niaz Arain, Dr Mumtaz Khan, and Dr Awab Alvi have successfully resolved sales tax issue on dental services with Sind Revenue Board. PDA has now urged the dental practitioners of the country that are either practicing full time or part time, to register with the Sindh Revenue Board.


Under Section 24 of the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act 2011, any cosmetic dental procedures such as aesthetic dentistry, orthodontic procedures or other cosmetic procedures, are subject to payable tax levied to the Sindh Revenue Board.
In accordance with the act, the Sindh Revenue Board, in accordance with PDA urges all dental practitioners carrying out such procedures to register their dental practices with the Sindh Revenue through their portal service on the following website:
www.e.srb.gos.pk


Following the step-by-step procedures mentioned on the website, dental practitioners shall require the following documents for registration:
1. NTN certificate
2. CNIC
3. Electricity Bill (Not older than 3 months)
4. Bank Account Certificate ( Not older than 3 months, showing date of account opening)
5. Rent Agreement/Ownership Registry
6. Letter Head of Business


After the registration, Sindh Revenue Board advises dental practitioners to levy a surcharge of 13% on cosmetic dental procedures, according to the Act.
The said amount is to be transferred to SRB through any SRB-authorized NBP branch before the 15th of each month.
SRB has also requested an e-filing of true and accurate, tax returns in the Form SST-03 , as mentioned under Section 30 of the Act 2011, by the 18th of each month.-PR
