The World Oral Health Day 2019 campaign aimed to educate people on the importance of keeping a healthy mouth in order to keep it functioning correctly and for maintaining overall health and quality of life.
Various oral health programs were organized under the aegis of WOHD, at Bolan University of Medical Health & Sciences (BUMHS), with the guidance of organizers Dr Asma Uppal and Dr Fazal Dad Kakar. Chief Guest of the occasion was Secretary Health Balochistan Government, Mr Hafiz Abdul Majid.
A string of vibrant activities was held, to motivate people on this landmark occasion, including a comprehensive oral health check-up camp. Oral health awareness program was also conducted for the public and patients visiting Bolan Medical Complex.
A walk was also arranged to increase awareness among public.
Poster competition was organized for the undergraduate students. Faculty members of BUHMS judged the best poster work and prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition.
Prof Mujeeb ur Rehman, Prof Syed Abdul Rauf Shah and all seniors faculty members graced the occasion with their presence. Worthy secretary lauded the efforts of organizers and pledged to support Dental community in his full capacity.
