ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has recently approved Chinese COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 12 and above.
NCOC recent tweeted that forum's expert committee had approved administering the vaccines Sinovac and Sinopharm to the age group 12-18 from November 15 onwards in addition to Pfizer.
So far, Pakistan has vaccinated more than 5.5 million children between the ages of 12-18 years.
The forum acknowledged an important milestone of 50 per cent of the country's eligible population receiving at least one dose of the vaccine. After Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa became the second province to vaccinate half its eligible population with at least one dose.
