MULTAN: To promote sportsmanship and healthy competition among students, Nishtar Institute of Dentistry (NID), Multan, recently celebrated the annual sports gala week.
The personal interests of Prof Dr Amjad Bari, Principal, NID, Prof Dr Naghma Parveen, Vice-Principal, NID, Prof Dr Masood Haraj, Chairman Sports Committee, NID made this event possible. The continuous efforts of Prof. Dr Saima Munir, Co-chairman Sports Committee, NID and her team made this event a success.
Ahmad Ali Amir, Sports Secretary, NID, Alina Zahra, and NID students organised the opening ceremony, including a sports march and theme representation.
All the BDS students participated in the sports week gala from the first year to the final year. The sports include badminton, cricket, football, table tennis & all other indoor and outdoor games.
The talented students amused the audience with their Saraiki & Pashtoon cultural performances and songs in the closing ceremony. Prof. Dr Rana Altaf Ahmad, Vice-chancellor, Nishtar Medical University, graced the occasion with his presence.
The event concluded with prize distribution, certificates and awards distribution.
