LAHORE: Dr Ayesha Fahim and Dr Arooj-ul-Hassan, faculty members of the Dental section, University College of Medicine and Dentistry (UCMD), The University of Lahore (UOL), were selected for the 'National Youth Award' in a recent event for their exceptional achievements in the field of Health Education.
The awards for talented individuals across the country symbolise recognition of their contribution to society.
'Minhaj Youth League' and 'Educasa International' organised this event at Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad. Dr Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman Supreme Council MQI, Mr Ibrar-ul-Haq, Red Crescent Pakistan and Mr Azhar Mahmood Alvi, President, Minhaj Youth League, were the chief guests of the event.
Dr Arooj-ul-Hassan, Associate Professor & Head of Community and Preventive Dentistry Department, UCMD, has published over 25 articles and is also a renowned International career counsellor and a representative of educational exhibitions in UAE. He is also the head of the oral health promotion program in coordination with international brands GSK/Colgate and Shield.
Dr Ayesha Fahim, Associate Professor & Head of Oral Biology Department, has published over 20 national and international articles in SCOPUS and WoS indexed journals. Her 'Logbook of Tooth Morphology' is taught in several dental colleges across Pakistan. She is actively involved in conducting workshops relating to Dental Education in multiple institutions across the country.
Both winners of UOL have a long list of accomplishments in Health Education to their credit.
