LAHORE: Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College held their first BDS Convocation in December 2022, this was to commemorate the passing out of the first three batches of BDS, batch of 2019, batch of 2020 and batch of 2021.
The event started off with the welcoming and robing of the chief guest. The chief guest, who then declared the convocation open was Prof Dr Ahsan Waheed Rathore, Vice chancellor UHS. Principals of various dental colleges and dignitaries also graced the occasion with their presence.
The procession entered the convocation arena followed by a brief introduction by Prof. Dr. Fariha Farooq, Prof Dr Sabir Hussain, Prof Dr Col Iffat Batool, which was followed by medal distribution to the position holders by Prof Dr Ahsan Waheed.
Medals and shields, in addition to a cash prize, that was sponsored by Colgate were distributed by the Principal of the dental college, Prof Dr Sabir Hussain.
Distinction certificates and degrees were received by graduates of each batch.
All graduates received a souvenir book, which took them down the memory lane of the past 4 years in this institute.
The event wrapped up with group photographs of all batches with faculty and with their parents followed by lunch.
