LAHORE –The Dramatics Club of FMHCM&D (FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry) presented DRAMATITIS XV which featured students of FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences.
Started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, The DRAMATITIS XV was followed by a tribute to Late Prof. Humayun Maqsood – Principal, FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry. DRAMATITIS XVAnchor featured 5 plays, 5 short movies, musical session and lastly by a prize distribution ceremony.
Presented by 2nd year MBBS the plays included “Bolti Ankain” - a play based on the concept of “Wani”, a tradition practiced in areas of Southern Punjab, a story of a girl who becomes a victim of this tradition.
Coming next, by final year MBBS “Yeh Des hai Andhe logoun Ka” – a satire held in an asylum which highlights the issues of our society such as materialism, outdated traditions, western influences, the rights of transgender and the curse of dowries
“Humne khud apne Nasheman Lootay” by 3rd year MBBS was another play, a conscience awakening story of two brothers projecting the misconceptions that have led to extremism in our society.
Afterwards, “Latthi” by 4th year MBBS students – After “Humne khud apne Nasheman Lootay” - related to a story of money, power, revenge and the justice – pointing to a sad facts that cripples our society – the fact of “might is right”, hoping to make audience reflect about it for once atleast.
The last play showcased was “Zarb-e-Azb” by DPT - A story about young man from the tribal areas being misguided by Taliban; how he takes revenge from his own people, how he realizes his mistake and how he tries to rectify it.
Organised by the Faculty Patron Dramatics Club - Prof. Abid Ashar – Vice Principal FMH Collge, of Dentistry. Dramatics Club President – Aqib Virk, Joint President – Junaid Khalid, Vice President – Warda Batool Ali, General Secretary – Muhammad Qousain Ali and the students of FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry and FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences, all together contributed to bring about the DRAMATITIS XV.-PR
