Here are some tips to help you look after your teeth.
- Focus on your diet- Avoid the consumption of or exposure to products that stain your teeth, for example, coffee, tea, etc. Limit acidic drinks like soft drinks and fruit juices. Food acids soften teeth and dissolve the minerals in tooth enamel.
- Practice good oral hygiene practices-Brush your teeth two times a day for 2-3 minutes with fluoride toothpaste. Make sure you’re using a soft-bristled toothbrush, as anything more can damage the enamel and gums. This way, all sides of your teeth are cleaned.
- Don’t forget to floss-Floss at least once daily; regular flossing can decrease cavities, prevent bad breath, and keep teeth pearly white! Rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash at least once a day to kill bacteria that cause plaque.
- Visit Your Dentist Every 6 Months-These dental check-ups are probably the easiest most convenient ways to keep up healthy, white teeth. Your dentist will be able to have a look at your teeth and let you know what needs to be done, all while checking for indications of cavities, gingivitis, and plaque buildup.
