KARACHI: Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry, in collaboration with the Continuous Dental Education Committee (CDEC) and Department of Health Professions Education (DHPE), recently arranged a workshop series on personality building.
The series comprised four sessions with 1 CME hour each and lasted every week. The training aimed to instil core abilities such as conversational leadership, persuasion, and networking among healthcare professionals.
The first workshop was titled "Soft Skills for Personality Development", and the facilitator was Prof. Dr Shahid Shamim, Additional Director at DUHS. Dr Capt. Yousuf Majeed facilitated the second workshop on Stress Management. The next session encompassed the topic of personality building, i.e., Communication Skills Among Healthcare Professionals. Dr Shaur Sarfaraz from JSMU conducted the workshop.
The last workshop of this series was on Reframing Leadership in Healthcare and was facilitated by Ishaq Bin Sadiq, the president of The Tribe. Ishaq is a researcher, trainer and coach and has vast experience in the training and development of the Youth of Pakistan.
Dr Uzma Zareef, Chairperson CDEC, paid gratitude and presented a shield and certificate to facilitators at the end of workshops.
