Lahore: Punjab caretaker health minister Dr Javed Akram inaugurated the dental section at Apka Clinic located on Justice (R) Akram Road, aimed at provision of free dental care services to the poor patients.
De Montmorency Dental College Principal Prof Dr Waheed ul Hameed, Dr. Shehla Javed and other doctors were also present on the occasion.
The minister, who also monitored the treatment of patients in the dental section, said the main objective of opening the section at Apka Clinic is to provide free treatment facilities to the poor.
Terming the new section the first drop of rain, he said senior dental consultants at Apka Clinic will treat the patients visiting the facility.
He said Lahore DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi, who was injured in a police clash with PTI protesters is being provided the best treatment at Services Hospital.
The political workers are requested to protest peacefully and should avoid violence, and damaging government property, he said.
The minister ordered provision of medical facilities to all those injured during these clashes in all public hospitals of the province.
Dr Hameed said international dental treatment facilities will be provided to the patients at Apka Clinic.
