KARACHI: Dr Shama Asghar has been promoted as Vice Principal of the Bahria University Dental College, BUHSC (Karachi) after serving as the head of the Department of Operative Dentistry for over a decade.
In a press release the BUDC management said they are proud to announce the promotion of Dr Shama Asghar to the esteemed position of vice principal. With her extensive experience, dedication to education, and outstanding achievements in the field of dentistry, Dr Shama’s promotion is a testament to her exceptional contributions to the institution. It added.
It said Dr Shama has been an integral part of the BUDC’s success.
As a prolific researcher, she has authored more than 40 publications in prestigious national and international journals. Her contributions have significantly advanced the field of dentistry, making her a respected authority in her area of expertise.
In 2018, she received the “Distinguished Teacher Award”, acknowledging her exceptional skills in guiding and inspiring the students and her juniors.
She was also selected for the esteemed Erasmus Teacher Exchange Programme, where she represented the BUDC at Altinbas University, Turkey.
