KARACHI: In continuation of their Faculty Development Program, Baqai Dental College recently arranged a workshop on "Teaching and Assessment of Attitudes". Professors and the Heads of Departments attended the event along with senior and junior faculty members.
Prof Shahid Shamim was invited over to discuss various attitudes and their need for implementation in the curriculum. He discussed multiple teaching methodologies and assessments required to develop a curriculum based on these skills. He also discussed the barriers associated with them and ways to overcome them. All the faculty members who attended the event reciprocated with positive feedback insisting on having more sessions similar to this one.
The workshop was well appreciated. Professor Asaad Javed, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, appreciated the efforts of those who organized the event and declared the need to produce better oral physicians and academicians as the need of the hour.
