All Pakistan Dental Quiz-Virtual event for undergrad students to learn and shine

Lahore: Standing Committee on Voluntary Work under the umbrella of Pakistan Association of Dental Students’ (PADS) recently organised ‘All Pakistan Dental Quiz.’ The event was a joint collaboration of PADS, Dental News and Code-M.

The quiz event was held virtually with the participation of undergraduate of dental students of all four academic years. A set of four different quizzes were arranged for each year, respectively.

The event was a huge hit as over 1000 registrations were done from all over Pakistan. The students from more than 50 different dental colleges came on one platform to participate in the activity.

The event head, Muhammad Nasir, Co-head, Adan Yousuf and Media Head Rabia Iftikhar worked endlessly to make the event a possibility.

The winners were awarded Rs.5000/- a cash prize and the rest of the participants having 70% above percentage were given a participation certificate.

The categories and winners are listed below.

  • First Year Category:
    • Winner: Soha Yawar, Khyber College of Dentistry
    • Runner-up: Abdul Majid Khan, Khyber College of Dentistry
  • Second Year Category
    • Winner: Aliza Aleem Binte Abbas, Institute of Dentistry, CMH Lahore
    • Runner-up: Muhammad Hamza Faisal, Army Medical College
  • Third Year Category
    • Winner: Imama Noor, Margalla Institute of Health Sciences
    • Runner-up: Aafia Sohail, Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences
  • Fourth Year Category
    • Winner: Muhammad Farrukh, Margalla Institute of Health Sciences
    • Runner-up: Hina Hafeez, Margalla Institute of Health Sciences

The aim of the event was to provide an opportunity for undergraduate students in lockdown to get active and involve in activities that would inculcate knowledge and learning experience. The participants appreciated the efforts of the organisers and expect to have such more quizzes in future.
