KARACHI: The Operative Dentistry Department of Bahria University Medical & Dental College recently organised a dental model competition among third-year BDS students.
Model competition has been an effective and creative method of learning. It helps evaluate the students in different areas such as skills, confidence, content delivery, teamwork, and body language.
Dr Umeed Javaid and Dr Imtiaz ul Haq, under the supervision of Dr Shama Asghar, facilitated the competition. The topics assigned to the students included class I, II, III, V and MOD cavity preparation.
The judges evaluated the presenters on the different aspects of skills and knowledge and graded accordingly. At the end of the competition, certificates were awarded to the winners.
