CHICAGO - Oral Health America (OHA) would have thanked 3M ESPE for its generous donation of Filtek Supreme Ultra Universal Restorative product, benefiting several organizations involved in the Smiles Across America® (SAA) program, which supports school-based and school-linked oral health programs across the country.
"3M's generous donation of Filtek composite material has been utilized in Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida's three land based dental offices and on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile," said Kelley Johnson, Dental Director for Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida. "Many of our Smiles Across America children participating in the school-based dental sealant program are in need of restorative services on their permanent first molars and other teeth due to active decay. The Filtek composite material provides a strong and esthetic restoration to keep our children healthy and smiling."
The company's donation to OHA happened as part of a recent promotion in which 3M donated Filtek composite material to one of four dental charities when dentists ordered at least four refills of the product. 3M chose OHA as one of the charities to benefit from this promotion.
"Inspired by the many ways dentists give back in the community, 3M ESPE made the decision to make it even easier for dentists to do good, just by purchasing Filtek composites. When we thought of charitable partners recognized in our industry, Oral Health America was at the top of the list. Choosing them for this campaign was an easy decision," said Drew Hoopes.
