TAXILA: Dental College HITEC-IMS Taxila recently hosted a workshop titled "Developing the Assessment Blueprint," aimed at enhancing the skills of heads of departments (HODs) from various college departments.
The primary objective of the workshop conducted by Prof. Dr. Shahreen Zahid Khan, Dr. Faizan Munir Khan, Dr. Maimoona Saddiq, and Dr. Zarlis Nawaz, was to equip HODs with the knowledge and skills necessary to design effective assessment blueprints which are essential for accurately measuring student learning outcomes.
The workshop participants gained a deeper understanding of the components of a well-designed assessment blueprint and the process of creating one.
The interactive session included in-depth discussions on aligning assessments with learning objectives, determining appropriate assessment methods, and defining assessment criteria and weighting.
Through presentations, discussions, and hands-on exercises, the facilitators empowered HODs to develop and implement assessment blueprints within their respective departments.
This initiative is expected to lead to a more standardized and effective assessment system throughout Dental College HITEC-IMS Taxila.
The workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience for the participating HODs, aiming to contribute to a more comprehensive and rigorous assessment system, ensuring that students are evaluated fairly and effectively.
